American Idol 8 : Jasmine and Jorge Eliminated on The First Week

American Idol 8, Michael Jackson Night, there’s a new rule on American Idol elimination, judges have veto to save the finalists who should be eliminated, and the first elimination night, the finalist which performed Michael Jackson on the night before.
The finalists who called by Ryan Seacrest to stand in the middle of the stage is Jasmine Murray and Megan Joy, Jasmine sang I’ll Be There and Megan sang Rockin’ Robin, and who got less vote that night is Jasmine, these two girls are finalists chosen by wildcard show. And finalist who booted off is Jasmine Murray.After sang I’ll be There (again) and hope for the judges would be save her, Randy told her bad news : “Jasmine, we discussed it. Sorry baby, you’re heading home. Not gonna work” so she must left the competition.
Next after Kanye West performance, Ryan Seacrest announced who got the lowest vote, and finalists who got the lowest vote are Anoop Desai and Jorge Nunez, Anoop didn’t sing well at the night before, he performed Beat It by Michael Jackson. But the North Carolina Boy is save and the Puerto Rico boy Jorge Nunez must go home. The Judges also won’t save him, announced by Simon Cowell. He booted off after performance by Kelly Clarkson who sang her new single : My Life Would Suck Without You from her new album : All I Ever Wanted. The four of judges give standing applause for the first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson.
For elimination song or farewell song, Carrie Underwood covered song of Montley Crue’s Home Sweat Home, next week will be 11 finalists and judges also haven’t give their veto yet. We’ll se next week, I hope they’ll perform better than Michael Jackson week.
