The phenomenal Novel written by Andrea Hirata, Laskar Pelangi, is a story about little school :  SD Muhammadiyah in Bitong, the poorest school in Bitong who has extraordinary students. We’ll meet Ikal (the main character), Lintang a genious boy son of a fisherman from Tanjong Kelumpang, Mahar an artist who lived in his idea and own world, and love the mystical thing who got a friend named Flo a student who moved from PN School to Muhammadiyah, Trapani who really close with his mom, Sahara the only girl in class before Flo joined, Syahdan, Kucai, A Kiong a chinesse boy the cousin of A Ling, Ikal’s first love, Borek a.k.a Samson and Harun,  fifteen years old boy with mental disability also the last boy who entered the school on the first chapter. This school leads by Mr.K.H Harfan Effendi Noor as a principal and Bu Muslimah as the teacher. Laskar Pelangi is a name given by Bu Mus to their students because they love the rainbow (Laskar = Army, Pelangi = Rainbow).

This novel already filmed and directed by Riri Riza starring : Cut Mini, Tora Sudiro and Lukman Sardi. I read few chapter before I watch the movie with my Dufan Team (me, Benned, Gilly, Zwitzie, Reni, Rere) plus Andre. Just like other movies, there’s some differences between book and film, it’s good movie compare to other Indonesian movies, but still Soe Hok Gie is the Best, Love Nicolas !!!!!!
