Kris Allen, American Idol 8 winner, will release his new self titled album on 17 November 2009, this first debut album is through Jive Records. There’s 14 tracks on this album. Some of this tracks is written by Kris Allen himself, and the song titled Send Me All Your Angels is written by Kris Allen and Chris Daughtry as co writer. The first single from this album titled “Live Like We’re Dying” is released on 21 September 2009 and digitally released on iTunes on September 25, 2009.

American Idol 8 : Jasmine and Jorge Eliminated on The First Week

American Idol 8, Michael Jackson Night, there’s a new rule on American Idol elimination, judges have veto to save the finalists who should be eliminated, and the first elimination night, the finalist which performed Michael Jackson on the night before.

The finalists who called by Ryan Seacrest to stand in the middle of the stage is Jasmine Murray and Megan Joy, Jasmine sang I’ll Be There and Megan sang Rockin’ Robin, and who got less vote that night is Jasmine, these two girls are finalists chosen by wildcard show. And finalist who booted off is Jasmine Murray.After sang I’ll be There (again) and hope for the judges would be save her, Randy told her bad news : “Jasmine, we discussed it. Sorry baby, you’re heading home. Not gonna work” so she must left the competition.

Next after Kanye West performance, Ryan Seacrest announced who got the lowest vote, and finalists who got the lowest vote are Anoop Desai and Jorge Nunez, Anoop didn’t sing well at the night before, he performed Beat It by Michael Jackson. But the North Carolina Boy is save and the Puerto Rico boy Jorge Nunez must go home. The Judges also won’t save him, announced by Simon Cowell. He booted off after performance by Kelly Clarkson who sang her new single : My Life Would Suck Without You from her new album : All I Ever Wanted. The four of judges give standing applause for the first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson.

For elimination song or farewell song, Carrie Underwood covered song of Montley Crue’s Home Sweat Home, next week will be 11 finalists and judges also haven’t give their veto yet. We’ll se next week, I hope they’ll perform better than Michael Jackson week.

My favorite performance that night is Kris Allen, he sang Remember The Time with guitar and totally rock the stage. Anoop Desai or Anoop Dog, sang Beat It, but judges think that’s a wrong song choice, it’s sounds karaoke, but I think Anoop still has Idol charisma. Megan, she’s very unique and have Megan’s style, also can rock the stage with Rockin’ Robin. Adam Lambert’s song choice is Black or White, one of Michael Jackson’s hit, and he shows his vocal ability. Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giraud sing and play the grand piano, Matt was amazing, he sang Human Nature and Scott, altrough he pick song that not many people know he’s do a good job. Jorge, hmm…yeah..pretty bored at the fires time. Jasmine who sang I’ll be there show her vocal ability, but for me it’s nothing unique, so does Lil Round, I don’t see something “different” from their performance. Allison it’s good, but it’s like that she wants to copycat Kelly Clakson, and I think Alexis do the good job by singing Dirty Diana on last performance. Well, two finalists will be eliminated, we don’t know what America’s choice. Anoop, the 13th finalist not doing well that night, but he has many fans I think. Some of them has star charisma, they’ll save even not do their best performance. On elimination night, there’ll be Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson as guest star. Who will be eliminated on the first final performance ? we’ll see……

American Idol 8, the battle begun, on the first week of America, the theme would be Michael Jackson Theme, the 13 Finalists of American Idol would be sing Michael Jackson’s songs, but Michael Jackson would not be their mentor. Songs picks is still the big issue for American Idol 8 finalists, they must be really really careful with their songs pick, and it might be hard for the girls. One of Michael Jackson’s song already sang by Kris Allen. he sang Man In The Mirror on group 2 before. I hope he’s not sing this song again,because could be a serios mistake, and maybe not enough song choice for the blind finalist, Scott MacIntyre, maybe he’ll pick Heal the World or Gone Too Soon, but we’ll see, maybe he could make a surprise. The song I’ll be there maybe is a good pick for girls, and maybe this week is suitable for Adam Lambert, maybe he’ll sing Bad, Dirty Diana, Give It To Me, or Smooth Criminal.

I’m wondering what song that Anoop Desai would sing. Last season, David Cook sang Michael Jackson’s song, Billie Jean, and he’s sing very well, he sang different version of Billie Jean. I hope the finalists of American Idol 8 also could do that. Guest stars of this week will be Kanye West and the First American Idol Winner : Kelly Clarkson. Kelly Clarkson has released her New Album on 7 March 2009 “All I Ever Wanted” maybe she’ll sang her single “My Life Would Suck Without You“

American Idol update Hollywood Week : Group Performance

After personal performance on previous day, and 107 contestants left and 40 contestans is already sent home, now they must do the performance as a group. They could pick friends to become a group and sing together. Yeah, an idol must can be collaborated well, and what happened in group ? who must left and who stay and continue to the next round ?

First performance was from group named : White Chocolate, with group members : India Morrisson, Kris Allen, Matt Giroud, and Jason Williams, with the rap from India, the only girl on that group, they performed perfectly, very very good !!! and four of them together go to the next round. Also for Danny Gokay’s group who sang “Somebody To Love” they also do perfectly, and four of them go to the next round.

Tatiana DelToro also go to the next round with so much drama with her group. Collaborated is a hard thing for people who only know recently, they have their own idealism. Drama also happened on Nathaniel Marshall, Nancy Wilson and Kristin McNamara, and at the end, Nancy’s journey must stopped, but for Nathaniel and Kristin, they go to the next round.

How’s about Katrina Darrel a.k.a Bikini Girl ? is she doing well ? she feels tired and go to sleep early, in the morning she wake up late, but she shows for the performance. Her group, names Divas consist of : Lauren Baines, Rose Flack, Jasmine Murray and Katrina Darrel, and from the four of them, only Jasmine who continue to the next round. Oh…actually I love Rose, so pity she must stop. So with Emily Wayne-Hughes, she didn’t do it well, she forgot the lyric and must stop, on my previous writing I taught she could be one of the finalists.

The other who continue to the next round is Annop Desai, Adam Lambert, Jeremy Michael Sarvar, Scott MacIntyre and also Norman Gentle aka Nick Mitchell…..I didn’t see Michael Castro….I hope he made it.

Well, 75 contestans left and what happen next, we’ll find out next week, can’t wait to watch…..

Amrican Idol Update : Hollywood Week

Finally, 147 contestants who already got a golden ticket to Hollywood do the next step of being American Idol, and ready to perform at Kodak Theater. They can sing whatever they want to sing, and there’s also a Boot Camp with the vocal coach and make-up artist. The thing that every contestant must really really think about it is picking the right song to sing, because it could be the end of their journey.
On the first line, there’s Lil Round, mother of three children who has fantastic voice on the audition week, she sang I Will Always Love You by Withney Houdson and she made it, she goes to the next round, but not to Dennis Bingham, he must stopped his journey and go off with deep dissapointment to the judges.
The Next Line, there’s Nathaniel Marshall, and Anoop Desai, who previously comes to the audition room with short and flip-flop, but actually, his voice really really blown away, the other is Rose Flack and sweet Jasmine Murray who sang The Trouble With Love Is by Kelly Clarkson, and also the cute Michael Castro, brother of Jason Castro, the fourth contestant of American Idol 7. They all made it and go to the next round. Yippieee….he’s already become my Idol.
A hard criticism comes from Simon Cowell to Von Smith, Simon said : “horrible song, horrible performance, and very annoying” but the judges give him opportunity to go to the next round together with Stephen Fowler, and Jorge Nunez from Puertorico, Jorge perform much better than the audition.
Song Pick is the serious issue for every contestant, they must pick a right song to perform, because there will be no chance anymore. But….

Do you remember Nick Mitchell or Norman Gentle from New York audition, how about him ? On this performance he sang a song by Jennifer Houdson, from the Original Soundtrack of Dreamgirls, And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going with his very funny style, he shout to Seacrest and the audience (the other contestants) loves it also the three Judges, Paula, Kara and Randy, and I think he’s really entertaining, and surprisingly, he goes to the next round….Yeah GO Norman ! or Nick or whatever….

The Blind man Scott MacIntyre also go through to the next round also Jackie Tohn from New York audition, but if I’m not wrong Cassie Carlson didn’t made it, she’s in the same line with Jackie.

Outstanding performance comes from two best friend, Jamar Rogers and Danny Gokay, who lost her wife few weeks before audition. Jamar sang California Dreamin’ the same song with the audition, and Danny sang Kiss From a Rose by Seal, this two men go to the next round.

How about the Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell ? is she goin’ to the next round ? Yeah, she made it and go to the next round, so does Emily Wayne-Hughes, she changes her song on the last minute, and she pick the wrong song, Simon said that he’s expect more from Emily, but the fortune is on her side, she goes to the next round.

Well, 104 contestants left, and next round is groups performance.

I think this season is interesting, we got Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell, Norman Gentle aka Nick Mitchell, blind man Scott MacIntyre, best friend Jamar and Danny, Anoop Desai and absolutely the cute Michael Castro.

Here’s some memorable performance on Hollywood week from last season, performance by Michael John who sang Bohemian Rhapsody, was very very stunning.

And from the group performance, How Deep is Your Love by Chris Sleigh, Blake Lewis, Rudy Cardenas and Thomas Lowe, that’s very very amazing.

Jason Castro’s Brother Joined American Idol Audition

The audition still continue, America still searching for the next David Cook, the next Kelly Clarkson and the next Carrie Underwood, and on this audition week, four judges meet Ashley Anderson who sing Leona Lewis song that written by Simon Cowell, and she did it well, next we saw Casey Carlson a bubble tea maker from Minnesota who sang 10.000 miles by Vanessa Carlton, Kara Said, ” I see a package here” to Casey and Simon said “I like you, I’m gonna say Yes”

Like usually, a rude comment comes from Simon Cowell and this time for pretty young girl named Chelsea Marquat, he said that her voice is like a cat jumpin’ from the Empire States Building.

And there’s Jason Castro’s brother, Michael Castro, oh, man, he’s so cute and has Jason Castro’s style, and he made it, his family said : “We come to Hollywood, again” I hope he would be on the top 14. This competition is so tough with Matt Britzke, a welder from Oklahoma, and the birthday girl Jessica Furney, also two best friends Jamar Roger who sang California Dreamin’ and got 3 yeses and Danny Gokey,a church piano teacher, his wife was passed away four weeks before audition, also Asia McClan and her sibling India Morrison, they both did “cookie rap” by Randy Jackson on audition room, the judges like them but say no to Asia but say yes to India. Talk about India, there’s Anoop Desai, an indian-desent who comes to the audition room wearing short and flip-flop, but his voice is blown-up the judges, and he got a golden ticket to Hollywood and also for the three children’s mom Lil Round, she has amazing voice and I think she’s the wone who could make it and be in the top 14.
